Went to this hospitals E.R., believe it or not they were fast, kind, efficient and helpful. A bright and shining example, in a world full of E.R. horror stories.

1/20/2026 6:00pm We went to the emergency room because my husband was choking and having trouble breathing. His hands were seizing up to the point that he could not move them. I dropped him off at the entrance, and he went inside telling them he needed help and that he was choking. The front desk staff told him to fill out paperwork and put on a mask. I have had nothing but exceptional care at Belvidere UW Health emergency department. I have had to use the emergency department several times. From the front desk to the doctors and nurses to the medical imaging department and anyone else I have seen while there, they are very good at what they do! And awesome people too!
