a Tried to get additional information updated about an old line of credit. Services was fast, results are pending.
not what I was expecting I'm not very impressed with UW credit union-the rates for savings accounts are not very good and I get better rates elsewhere and that is why I have not gotten any accounts with them.
Friendly and helpful tellers UW Credit Union is a great place to bank. Locations are not always convienent, but not bad. Better rates than at major banks. And they have lower fees for services. We had something notorized there for free. We also had to wire money on time on the spur of the moment. Another place wanted to charge us a ridiculus fee, UW did it for a very, very low price. Very nice!!
easy access with little fees The uw credit union has several locations close to campus making it easily accessible to students. There are numerous surcharge-free ATMS throughout the downtown area. The banks are always well-staffed so the service is always fast and easy. I would definitely recommend joining for free checking and wonderful service.
Bad Union Poor, generic, and rude customer service is the norm with UW Credit Union. There are alot of other credit unions in Madison to choose from. UWCU offers poor rates on savings accounts, hidden fees that larger banks often have, and are extremely inflexible. They also refuse to own up to their mistakes.
Top notch credit union This is a great credit union. Their west side office is a few years old now, but still very nice. They usually have a good number of friendly tellers working who are efficient and helpful. There are computers that you can use to check your credit union accounts, email, or surf the internet. They offer a number of different checking options with perks depending on how many qualifying services you use and their rates are usually better than other local banks.
