The main lab is understaffed! If I don’t want to wait for more than an hour in a crowded waiting room, then I need to go on Saturday or Sunday only. More staffing please.
I got here right when it opened, was the fourth person to check in, and still waited over an hour to get my blood drawn. When I went up to the check in staff to ask if I got missed on accident, the person was pretty short with me and just said that they don’t go in order of who arrived first. Which is a little weird since blood work doesn’t seem like a triage situation but ok? The attitude was absolutely unnecessary.
Clearly understaffed in the blood draw department. Long wait for such a routine procedure.
I have had to go in for blood draws for both my children and myself this year and can not praise the staff here enough. The pediatric team was so caring and supportive for both my 2 year old and 3 month old. They made the experience smooth and almost painless. Wait times obviously vary by time of day/ day of the week, but if you aim for the post fasting draws rush right at open it’s usually not too bad.
These folks take extra care with my little one who needs his blood drawn regularly.
