I had been going here for a couple years, was not all the impressed but wasn't unhappy either. Until I called in pain at 2pm on a Wednesday. I was told the next appt was weeks away. I said I was in a lot of pain, the nurse called back and said to go to the walk-in clinic. After 6hours at the walk-in clinic and ER I was told they do not help with IUD pain... you would think the nurses at the hospital's gyno office should have known that. stay away at all costs! There are much better options in Chittenden county. In fact if you can stay away from anything UVM medical center related. My wife recently had a significant amount of pain and was sent all over the place because this office couldn't figure out what they are suppose to do; help people. They also gave incorrect advice to go to walk-in clinic and ER because they were not capable of helping in the middle of a week day. Provider was good. Took 3 months to get an appointment, but that's Vermont for you. Be grateful you don't live here.
ALWAYS ASK FOR A SECOND OPINION HERE! I had a pregnancy where my baby had a severe medical condition. When the doctor came in to tell us the result of the ultrasound she said “we can terminate today” had I not done research and thank goodness for Boston children’s I learned the first diagnosis was something she could survive with no issues. The same diagnosis she responded I should terminate, they will not listen to you as they think they know more about you then you do because they know medicine.
