I’ve had excellent care here with Dr. Gholam. Some of the administrative issues have been troublesome. Otherwise I’m very happy.
I work with Dr. Steinmetz-Wood who is great - she listens to my concerns and provides guidance while respecting my choices in care. I do agree that overall UVM level of care is declining and I am worried about doctors and staff burning out.
Dr. Nathan berated me for being excited about a lifestyle change that has improved my health, a change that has moved me out of prediabetic range. I brought 2 books with me, one being The Diabetes Code by Dr. Jason Fung, nephrologist. She scoffed and told me she doesn't waste her time reading books by doctors looking to monetarily line their pockets. (!) Chasity has been my diabetes educator ,Finally I am on the correct track, Dr. Kelly has been wonderful to work with as well. I recommend both of these ladies if you are struggling. Julia
