At the pituitary clinic at UVA, The appointment process can be a hassle and somewhat frustrating because they do require referrals and copies of MRI/ lab work etc. before an appointment is secured with them and It does take a while to get the first initial appt with UVA but that’s expected when dealing with specialist. UVA pituitary clinic showed absolutely zero care for my wife’s tumor. We never were scheduled a first appointment with the care team. Rather than quickly see my wife with a referral and her MRI’s in hand, we had a to work with a front desk that kept changing what was required for an appointment until our referral expired and we asked her PCM to be referred elsewhere.
