My 5 year old son was rushed to the emergency room for a seizure that last over 20 mins, we had an eeg ordered from a doctor there. On my chart the results were reviewed and he was diagnosed with epilepsy. Finally after waiting several months for my child's appointment to the neurologist, they called me the evening before to cancel it and move it 2 more weeks out. Very unprofessional. My daughter is sick and maybe they dont care but i do
I can't begin to explain how happy we were with our initial visit with this practice. The doctor spent over an hour with us asking us questions to understand our daughter. The Dr. the took a long time to answer out questions and educate us. We drove over an hour for the appointment each way and will continue to do so for follow ups as we felt great about the practice, the communication, and the treatment plan.
The man I spoke with was short with me and rude. My child is autistic. He is really struggling. His psychiatrist and developmental Pediatrician recommended a uva neurologist because they are at a loss and believe something else is going on with him. I called to schedule an appointment with uva neurology and they turned us away. They said they do not see autistic children and referred me to a psychiatrist and/or developmental Pediatrician after I told them that is who referred me to them. They left me feeling hopeless.
