During my 2 night hospital stay at UVA, I received three visits from the lactation consultants. All of the LCs were incredibly helpful and supportive. I was also encouraged to schedule an outpatient appointment upon leaving the hospital due to ongoing latch concerns. During the OP appointment I met with Julie Ruffing and Dr. Kellams, two fabulous LCs. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient.
