they sell your phone number and health details. they're lying when they say they don't. SPECIFICALLY when I told them I didn't want them to sell my info, the receptionist at the gyno laughed and smirked at me and said they don't do that. IMMEDIATELY started getting the same spam on my phone regarding weight loss that I had gotten on my first phone number, which is how I knew it was UTMB.
This place is a scam!! I went to them with a serious problem and they just delayed the procedure by making several excuses. I went there first time and was seen by a resident (Lindsay Anne Wilken) not a fully certified gynecologist. She told me to come back after 3 weeks to get the procedure done by her supervisor Karren Lewis, MD. So I went back after 3 weeks & now there’s a new Resident Mostafa Eyada who told me that they don’t have the “equipments” to do the procedure so come back after a month or two. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!! Scheduled an appointment with them because I am expecting my first child! They then called MY mother and Told her that I was pregnant. I am over the age of 18 which means they violated HIPAA. Do not use them if you’re trying to Surprise your family because they WILL ruin it!!!!!
I had a coloscopy scheduled in Galveston. I live 2 and half hours away. Appointment was at 9 I left home at 5 to make it in time. Get there to be told I didn't have the paperwork needed, and that they tried to call, no messages left or email or anything. Was then told I had to pay $353.00 to have the service done. Wasted trip and terrible communication. They should reimburse for gas mileage to make the trip. Terrible time.
Dr. Villarreal is the best OBGYN you could get to deliver your baby. Her waitlist can be long at times but she is so worth it. She will make you feel comfortable and at ease.
