The wait times are really annoying. I'm currently pregnant, I arrive for my appointments on time and still have to wait over 30 minutes to see the doctor for 10 minutes. Today was the absolute worst. I arrived at 9:15 for a 9:30 appointment. I'm sitting here in the exam room at 10:30 and still haven't seen the doctor. This is completely ridiculous. They collect all this money upfront and yet cannot prioritize getting patients seen on time. Won't be using them again for future pregnancies.
The ladies are nice but just not experienced . You can tell they have not been practicing very long . I used to think utmb was good but I don’t Know what happened .
I was released from the ER not even 24 hours prior with instructions to follow up asap with my cardiologist Dr. Muhie Sabayon. I called to schedule a follow up for the very next day. My Uber had trouble locating me for the appointment, so I called UTMB to ask if that was ok and if I could be seen. They said yes not to worry. I arrived to only be told I cannot be seen and cannot see the doctor for nearly 2 months even though the doctor is still there and other patients are also leaving and arriving. Had a bad experience with Dr Alvarez she rushes through exams and had a leep procedure which caused me to go to the ER for excessive bleeding and she knew it! She still send me home knowing I was still bleeding a lot. Switch with Dr Bruce and she actually takes her time and very caring.
Do yourself a favor and try methodist or HCA. Dr Robinson was a okay physician. The front office was terrible... The billing department is beyond horrible. For delivery services they try to collect over $800 BEFORE DELIEVERY!!! JUST FOR THE PHYSICIAN TO DELIEVER THE BABY... NOT THE HOSPITAL LABOR AND DELIEVER ITS A WHOLE DIFFERENT BILL. They blamed my insuance so i gave my insurance a call and they said the hospital is billing that separately, not the insurance... Billing department lied.. i had prepaid $1000 just for OFFICE... read more
