I’ve been to this office a few times. The most recent experience has me not wanting to go back. I went in for a well woman’s exam and the staff were very friendly but also apparently very sneaky. They ran tests on my I did not ask for or confirm were okay to run (but in my MyCharts notes, it says I confirmed wanting them… nope). Of course my insurance did not cover the extra tests they ran. "We aren't accepting any new medicaid patients at this time" y'all are a university practice and one of the only ones listed as providing care to those with this insurance. Their money isnt any different than any other insurance so I can make a guess as to why... and it doesn't look good. Being told I should go back to an OB an hour away.. what happens in an emergency? then being told i should essentially go to an urgent care. The first time I used this facility was in 2017. Not part of UTMB at that time , but I liked the doctor and facility. Fast forward 2018, have the Molina Healthcare thru Marketplace which is horrible insurance and I couldn’t find anyone that would take it, so I thought , I’ll pay out of pocket. When I called they informed me that Dr.Ngygen no longer there and I would have to see a different doctor. Okay, how much will it cost ? $80, her response. Great! Scheduled for December 12 @1:00 .
