Incredible rude, cruel, inhumane, unfair and disgusting treatment of my family today. They were treated like less of human by the PACU staff. They were threaten and humiliated by the recovery nurse and a nurse who had no part of the situation(she felt important enough to involve her self). The charge nurse was no help to deescalate the situation nor to see the family’s perspective. We will reach out to the upmost authority in this matter and make sure there are repercussions. I am so pleased with the treatment and care I received at the UTMB Outpatient Surgery Center, League City Campus. Along with the expertise of those involved with me, they showed much kindness and patience in answering my questions and thoroughly explaining the surgery. This facility has poor communication system within the healthcare team. I came in for a procedure after being told by the Coordinator to do the prep a few days prior only to find out I’m not on the schedule. They made a way supposedly to see me only to be told that I have to complete my heart procedure and come back next Monday . Did my heart procedure, the Coordinator called and reminded the appointment for today. Did my prep again for the second time. Came in and I’m not on the schedule again! My grandson had toe surgery last summer. At the time I didnt think to write a review. The nurses and staff could not have been more professional, understanding, and patient in dealing with a scared 10 yr old. Unfortunately I don't not remember the exact nurses' name - she Took care of us when we were taken back for prep. She assured Jake she a would be with him until she gave him back to me.
