Almost died. Hemoglobin was 3.6 and they would release me... I went to another ER and they immediately got dr to order blood and I got several bags of blood.. literally 4 units if blood in one night at HCA. Utmb is garbage with their dr's more into getting paid as professors and stacking those instead of patient care. They dont care here and most are full of themselves.
It breaks my heart to give a not-so-favorable and lengthy review of UTMB Gastroenterology, particularly after their Urology department has taken such good care of me. But I'm afraid I can't give a more favorable opinion and keep it honest. I had constant burping issues and decreased appetite, so much that I dropped a good thirty pounds. UTMB started out doing the best thing and giving me an endoscopy and a CT scan. Unfortunately, those failed to detect the cause of my issues, although they at least eliminated the cause as a ... read more
