She's good at her specialty. She can explain things clearly. My problem was that she had all the soft, squishy feelings of a cactus. I'm autistic (high functioning), and when I couldn't think of a word, or couldn't explain something clearly enough for her, she had some major impatient attitude. Flat out rude. Good physician? Yes. Good bedside manner? Definitely not. I won't go back, and I won't be recommending her.
Dr. Gawlick is the best. She is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and tireless in pursuing the best possible care for her patients. Both surgeries she performed on my husband went smoothly and his prognosis is excellent thanks to Dr. Gawlick and her teamwork with the oncologist, liver surgeon, and radiation medicine doc. We highly, highly recommend her.

Dr. Gawlick,, there is nothing but wonderful things to say about her and her staff. I had the fortunate opportunity to meet her which I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Colorectal cancer while I was battling Liver Disease in need of a transplant. It take care of the cancer was a huge obstacle but in the hands of Dr. Gawlick and Dr. Alonso on the Liver Transplant team they kept me alive through a very difficult and life threatening surgery. Nearly a year and half later I am great because of her.
Dr. Gawlick is amazing! Starting a few years ago I became very sick and eventually needed to go in for several surgeries. Dr. Gawlick performed all my surgeries and took amazing care of me. She was involved and caring at all times. She always made sure I was well-informed of what was going on, and always answered my questions fully. I could tell she genuinely cared about me and did everything she could to help me recover. I owe a lot to Dr. Gawlick, and would recommend her to anyone.
