I had an amazing experience here! Especially from Dr. wennergren and his staff everyone was amazing from the mas to the nurses. Dr. Wennergrens assistant ( resident .) was awesome too I really found the process easy for approval for surgery, as I called my insurance first to find out what I needed to do to be covered which I recommend everyone to do. My friend had a terrible experience here, specifically with Dr. Wennergren and it had a huge impact on her. From what I heard and what she experienced I do not recommend anyone going here to see Dr. Wennergren
Dr. Wennegren's bedside manner left a lot to be desired. I was working with him to get bariatric surgery. He was rude and berating from my first visit, shaming me for how overweight I was for my age, and then when I was emotional said to me, "I don't understand why you're crying." He was not clear on his expectations of what I needed to do before scheduling the surgery and after six months of doing what I thought I needed to do, he added on more requirements that he claimed I had always been informed of. Dr. Rasmussen and his team have been fabulous on my journey! I believe that it is always up to the patient to make sure that things are in network and what my insurance covers. With that being said the staff has done an excellent job at keeping me informed on their process and what they expect. I am so thankful! Yes I will still have to pay quite a bit of money, BUT I am choosing to do this and am choosing to go in educated about my insurance.
