Melissa has been the very best GI provider! I drive an extra 30 minutes to continue to see her since she is so kind & responsive. Her MA, Megan, is fantastic as well!
What a joke. I was seen at urgent care, trying not to go to ER. The dr advised me I needed to get in to see a GI Dr. I’ve had a couple of endoscopies recently at Granite Peaks but they set me an appointment out a few days but I’m in distress!!!! I had a very uncomfortable experience during my visit. Aside from the nurse who brought me back to the room who was kind, I felt dismissed and not taken seriously when I tried to explain symptoms I’ve been dealing with for years. What upset me the most was reading my visit summary in the patient portal afterward, which stated: “Recommended low fat, low cholesterol diet and regular exercise to achieve ideal body weight. Reception terrible!! WHAT A JOKE OF AN EXPERIENCE
They put me on medication before doing tests, I got endoscopy done and got results in the mail but no word from my doctor on what they meant or what we would do from here when the endoscopy came back basically normal. I'm still uncomfortable the meds only have lessened my symptoms but I still feel them under the surface most days. Feel like I was just given up on when I thought a specialist would be more determined to help me find answers.
