Very impressed with the care I received in the emergency room & my two days in the hospital. I was visited frequently & received thorough explanation of my condition.
This was a very disappointing experience. I have always had positive experiences with Intermountain, which is why this situation was especially frustrating. I was never notified that there would be a second bill, and the first time I became aware of it was when it had already been sent to collections. I was then told it could no longer be billed to my insurance because the filing window had passed. This feels like a breakdown in communication and accountability that unfairly impacts patients. Emergency teams were absolutely on point! Top-tier care. They truly understand critical urgency!
I think it's very inconvenient that I recieve a bill from the Emergency Department. Then I receive one from the Doctors. I'm not going to argue the prices, I will say that seperate billing is quite inconvenient and perhaps it could done by IHC and distributed to each party. I appreciate the Doctors and all they did to help me,
