Utah Emergency Physicians has completely mishandled my billing and insurance. It has been over a year, and multiple claims have still not been properly submitted, despite repeated calls, emails, and providing photos of my insurance card. They have my insurance information but are not using it, while continuing to bill me directly. Intermountain Health is an amazing hospital- I wouldn't go anywhere else. My nurse was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, but my doctor, was condescending and did not include on my exit summary the fact the I had gallstones. She asked me if I was aware that I had them, which was a shock to me, but said I could deal with those another time. The gallstones were likely the very reason I was in emergency- according to my follow up with my regular doctor. Went in for shoulder pain. The guy that checked me in put that I had chest pains. Hooked me up to the EKG for no reason. Then wanted to do it again later on. Then charged me for it. I had NO chest pains. Just pinched nerve.

I gave them my insurance information but got a bill for the full amount. I called to dispute and they said they had no insurance information. I gave them my insurance information again and got another bill for the full amount. I gave them my insurance information for the third time but they sent the bill to collections.
