What a mess! I was sent here after a stroke and case managers not knowing where to send me. I have trauma and serious DV cases against my ex so I figured why not make the most of it? Utah trauma and addiction centers changed my life. I've never been to rehab before not knowing what to expect. I show up and it's on a very nice property with horses. I was impressed. I came in with a drug, alcohol, and suicidal attempts. I was broken. I learned I didn't really have a drug and alcohol problem I had a problem with myself, I didn't love myself, I didn't accept who I was. This place was transformative for me. I self admitted to focus on working through a history of trauma, shame, and problematic sexual behavior. James Raburn was my therapist, and although I was unsure of our compatibility at first, he exceeded expectations and really helped me get the care I needed. The director texted mother saying it is her fault if I don't get help and kill myself or get worse. This has her completely upset as any mother would be. Completely unprofessional considering I'm 19 and don't even live in the same state as them. I just saw this and i am mortified by your response. Im blown away that you think it is okay to respond this way. I never even said ANY of the things you are claiming. Like you said, it was 15 minutes of our lives. I just wanted to say that I loved Utah trauma and addiction center. They made me feel at home and safe. I loved spending time with the horses it always helped put me in a good mood. Jeremy was my therapist he was amazing. James was another therapist he always made groups interesting with his humor. Also an excellent therapist. I wish that we could have rode the horses, they were helpful to have either way. One thing I would like to recommend is a Chef. Our diets were left up to the residents to cook and they were not always ... read more
