Not a good experience. A lot of ego, didn't listen, was reluctant to answer questions, blanket conservative decisions made without considering my specific circumstances. Only saw her once and switched to a compassionate, non fear-mongering, doctor who actually cares to follow the latest research and understands a patient has a voice. Venkatraj was clearly more interested in displaying her knowledge than she was in considering the quality of life of a patient with a long remission history.
Does not supervise treatments, does not allow patient input or questions, defensive to extremes, visits documented incorrectly, not available when needed, no empathy! None!!
Dr.does not take the time to explain what your plan and options are. Gives you her plan and expects you to not ask for more details into it. She does not allow you to be supported by your caretaker while in appointment. Does not answer questions or provide clarification. Do not recommend please for the life of your loved ones, find a Dr. that will take the time for you to be heard. Staff seemed nice enough until the Dr expresses dislike for you and then you are treated poorly.
Extremely good Oncologist. She doesn't "sugar-coat" her words. Dr. Venkatraj gets right to the point, which puts some people off, but she is extremely knowledgeable. Saved my life when I had advanced Colon Cancer. After surgery, she supervised my Chemotherapy. Highly recommended.
She is the most wonderful caring person in the world. I have known her along time. She saved my life. The staff is wonderful.
I think she is absolutely wonderful. Saved my life and did it with professionalism and integrity. She is very straight forward, doesn't mince words or prognosis. She has an absolute belief in her abilities that conveys to her staff.
Terrible bedside mannerism. Defensive, argumentative, reluctant to answer any questions, egotistical, impatient, does not spend much time with her patients. Staff is rude and unorganized.
I have not had a healthy doctor-patient relationship with my current oncologist Dr.Venkatraj for sometime. I have had many unpleasant experiences with her and her office and I am now going to be very vocal about it, because God forbid anyone of you or anyone you know get cancer I would hate for you to go through what I have had to. My last face-to-face visit with Dr. Venkatraj, I had some questions for her. After my last round of chemo my tumor had completely gone away, in fact I was told that according to the PET SCAN I was... read more
Although the Dr was in, she hadn't decided to see patients yet. An hour past my apt time and the first two patients of the day still waiting before me to see her and she couldn't be interrupted to find out when she might start seeing patients! Staff said she was always over an hour late seeing any patient.
