Very positive experience. Everyone friendly and things were fast and smooth. My doctor and surgeon is Dr. James Lee, I highly recommend him.
At my ultrasound appointment today with Dr. Marisa Baker, a male medical student was present in the room during a transvaginal pelvic exam without my prior knowledge or consent. I was not asked if I was comfortable with his presence before the exam began. I had to advocate for myself and ask that he leave. Dr. Baker responded with a comment about me not wanting an “audience,” which felt inappropriate and minimizing. I couldn't and wouldn't ask for a more supportive and professional Doctors office. The entire team from the south tampa location to Brandon are absolutely amazing. Front desk, medical assistants, and the doctors are amazing. My delivery couldn't have been better and the post care from the nurses makes me so happy I chose USF health.
Just had the most traumatic experience of my life here. I understand I showed up at Tampa Gen in labor with twins without a heads up of any kind. I came looking for a doctor with a specific set of skills, but the entire experience from start to finish was completely unacceptable. Im genuinely shocked at the care I received. To make matters worse, this is a teaching hospital so the next set of doctors will behave the same way when presented with a case like mine.
I struggled with what rating to give, but as far as I know my surgery went well and healed well too. My issue is, not only did I have a laproscopic hysterectomy but I had an IUD removed at the same time. Hormones all over the place apparently. When I returned for my 6 week follow up, I asked who is going to help me transition and was basically dismissed and told to see my primary. Confused I just gave up and said ok.
