wide variety of skates at many different price points I looked at the USA Skates website to see exactly what kind of skates they have. They do have a wide assortment, but since I know next to nothing about skating - much less if I'm even going to like it, I'm just using them right now as a resource before investing too much more money.
Avoid doing business with USA Skates, Westminster CA. I purchased new skate plates @ $164.99 and was charged $100 for mounting! Skates received and 1 plate was defective. Very difficult trying to resolve with Bruce, who would not provide a return shipping label (although their website said they would for any incorrect or defective item). I had to find another business, to purchase another new plate.
I used Mail order business. Bruce was the person who I dealt with. I explained my needs and the fact that I had to have two pairs of skates delivered by a date 2 weeks in advance. After some time, I did not receive the skates. My order was somehow forgotten. Then he sent me substitutes that I really did not order (Reidells instead of Jacksons). Ordered skates for my son 8 months ago. We told Bruce he had wide feet and if he could not get a wide-width skate, to not send any. We received a regular width skate which did not fit him. Returned it and have yet to receive a refund. They claimed they had problems crediting our credit card. So, I finally asked them to send us a check 2 months ago. They agreed, but haven t sent one yet despite many calls.
