Today, my 8-month-old baby was turned away from this pediatric clinic simply because she wasn’t an established patient. I was in the parking lot near Walmart when I noticed her temperature rising, so I went into the office to request a simple temperature check. I understand she wasn’t a registered patient, but to refuse something as basic as a temperature check for an infant is both deplorable and against the principles of medical ethics.
