They tore my birth certificate in half and then refused to give me a social security card. After 8 years of trying... They said they sent a social security card to my address but I never got it. I finally got a social security card a week ago, but I will never forget the security guard pulling his gun on me after the clerk tore my birth certificate in half
Unbelievable awful experience. 1000x worse than DMV
I scheduled a face to face meeting in Kalispell based on advice received from SSA on a phone call. Upon arriving I stated my purpose was to get answers regarding benefits to assist me with planning, and I wasn’t applying for benefits that day. The representative at window #5 was surly and unhelpful, it was obvious she did not want to assist and numerous times relied on another representative for answers to my direct questions.
