Just needed to share a really great experience I had today in dealing with Mark in the Batavia home office. He helped both me and my elderly mom in reporting my dad's death and all that goes with that to social security. Mark was beyond courteous, kind, patient and so knowledgeable. His willingness to assist an elderly person was outstanding and beyond the call of duty! He's a gift to the public and a credit to the workforce.
Today I had a phone conference with Mark from the SS Batavia office. He was very thorough in explaining my options for which to apply for widow's benefits. He completed my application and it couldn't have been easier. He was very helpful, patient and so easy to talk to. Mark is a wonderful representative of SSA and I would recommend anyone needing assistance to work with him.
I was in and out in 5 minutes to change my name after getting married. Super quick and friendly people. Show up with the docs you need and you’ll be golden. I filled out my app online before I arrived to speed everything up.
