I had a very good experience at the social security office of early. I had gone online to apply for what I needed, and scheduled an appointment so I could show my proper paperwork. I recommend doing it this way, as it makes the entire visit faster & smoother.
After many calls to the main SS number and lengthy periods on hold, but never actually getting a person or getting help, I finally called the Brownwood SS office. There was still the lengthy process to go through the menu and finally get on hold to wait for a person.... then Eric! Eric was the support person who took my call after a relatively few minutes on hold. He was helpful, interested in hearing my questions, patiently answering, and looking for answers for me.
