When one calls the 800 number , the minimum waiting time is 1HR. This is ridiculous ! I have paid into the FICA Fund , over 53 1/2 years , before I began drawing ANY benefits . I have Paid MY DUES . Now , when I have retired , it is next to impossible to access my local SSA office . Our federal Government is ripping us off . We have a right to be able to access the local SSA offices . Our Congress has taken the separate FICA fund and given it to their "CAUSES" , without ANY regard to to the needs of those who have been payin... read more
