I just moved to North Carolina and my Medicare premium just changed to a higher amount. I received a confusing letter from social security that said they were deducting past due (underpayments) of Medicare premiums. I don’t owe past amounts. The letter said I could contact this local office. I went to the office and was sent away and told to call a number. You got seniors struggling with technology and you won't allow them to meet with someone face to face. What a crock! So disrespectful! No walk-ins, no appointments and over an hour on the phone only to be told they can't fix the problem. Something is broken and the lazy employees and government are responsible for this scam. They have your money but make it difficult to get it back once you get old enough. Smithfield NC needs to do better.

6/26/25 waiting in line, got here early with my mother for her appointment and the office is closed due to what someone had said no security? We drove an hour away and changed our schedule to be able to get help. Why not call your customers?? This is unbelievable.
