Best of the big banks I really enjoy the services I get from the big banks- free checking, debit card and robust online access. I have banked with WF and some of the others locally, and USB really seems to have reinvested in customer service in the last 5 years or so. I find that they are very knowledgeable of their policies and make an effort to be friendly but not pushy. I don't know how they are outside the Cedar Rapids area, but the branches I visit in CR are great.
Too many ownership changes By the time you read this review, this bank may have been sold again. With each change in ownership, the service here has gotten worse. I had money professionally managed by their trust department that was underperforming their savings accounts. Their international currency exchange window operates under completely different hours than the rest of the bank, and the cost to do currency exchange is ridiculously high.
