About two years ago my mother opened three CDs at this branch to take advantage of a promotional interest rate. The person helping us must have been new, because it took forever, close to two hours. Even though the employee went to others for help, Mom received a call two days later asking her to come down to do more paperwork, as it hadn’t been done correctly. ASK ABOUT THEIR FEES. We opened an IRA here with a CD here because they had a good rate. The employee declined to inform us that, unlike the many banks we have had IRAs with before, US Bank charges an _annual fee_ for retirement accounts, which was a detail buried in the many pages of documents supplied to us that day. Once we learned, it was too late; we couldn't take our money out without a big hit due to the CD.
