The entire Mississippi River basin, including the entire river system in Oklahoma, is open to the public for recreation and fishing at the locks, except for Russellville, AR. This has resulted in the riverside park no longer being used for RV camping or other tourist activities. What was the government thinking?
The manager of this damn is an absolute clown. Literally came down here and told us fishermen that he chooses the gates that he runs because he doesn't like us and he knows it messes up the fishing. I'm sure there's a process to which generators they run, but come on, get a life man. Some of us guys have been fishing down here for decades and families have been fishing down here for generations and he closes one of the best fishing spots in the state because he's too lazy to have some trash cans put out here that's who's run... read more
