Surprised.... My PCP referred me for a consult on a CT. I didn't know it but the scheduler put me into an "existing patient" slot to get me in soon. This meant a much smaller time slot was allocated than a new and unfamiliar patient would require. I was told by the check in lady that it was a mistake, so no one expected a new patient. But I was a new patient. I expected an unhappy doctor, because this was an obviously busy practice.
