I have not had the best experience with the Urology Institute of Pittsburgh. My first appt, I had to wait over two hours to see Dr Costa, I was not aware of this wait time beforehand. I had to call my job, explain the circumstance, and take additional sick time from the day. During the follow up to that appt, it was recommended that I have a cystoscopy. Couldn’t tell you about the urologist because we never made it that far.. arrived for a 10:15 appointment and finally asked at noon when we were going to be seen. The receptionist told us there were still 3 people in front of us. And they still took the copay without refund. Never go there or waste your time… they’re extremely unorganized.

I am currently sitting in the Monroeville office. I have been sitting here for 1.5 hours just waiting for Dr. Acosta to go over a CT scan with me. He is constantly answering phone calls and seems to have to care at all for his patients time. The front desk workers are also rude as one of them was touching me repeatedly as she was talking and was using the “r” word as a joke. They also refuse to wear their masks correctly even though they advertise how much they “care” about CDC guidelines. Skip the wait and find somewhere el... read more
