I visited the urgent care with symptoms of slight fever the night before and lower back pain. I received the most thorough evaluation ever! The nurse practitioner was phenomenal and stated she would not stop until we found the cause of my ailment. She ordered blood work a chest x-ray and then finally she sent me for a CT scan the same day this is where it was discovered that I had appendicitis, even though I did not have typical symptoms of pain on my side or nausea or High fever. I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience at Cedars-Sinai. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with so much kindness, compassion, and professionalism. A special shoutout to Nurse John, who wasn’t even supposed to be working that day but got called in last minute... he was absolutely incredible and made me feel so comfortable and cared for. Sat me down for over an hour to tell me they couldn’t treat me; charged me thousands for the privilege. Terrible experience, which contributed to greater injury due to delayed care. Update: At the ER they flagged that this clinic had sloppily mis-diagnosed me, and that they should have quickly seen my actual issue which did not require an ER visit. They also flagged that this clinic consistently provided poor care and referred to ER unnecessarily.
