I used to love this place and have been bringing my one-year-old dog here since we got her, but this last visit completely changed my experience. I came in open to discussing options after an injury she sustained over the weekend, but the exam felt extremely rushed—they spent only a brief moment with her before pushing for sedation without trying less invasive approaches or involving me. You all took amazing care of my little Mija throughout the years. I am eternally grateful for everyone at Urban PetRx.
My mom had the worst experience in this place on yesterday. She called the day before and asked if they could administer an IV for her sick dog. They told her yeah it will be $20 for the service and $35 for the IV when she arrived, she met with Ashley, who from the beginning was very rude. Ashley asked her about her employment and she told her that she was Unemployed. The dog actually belongs to me and my mom was just bringing her in. The staff was absolutely wonderful and kind and charming and sweet to my baby boy King Kong. But it's the Doctor the Vet herself that made me and my puppy feel uncomfortable. Even though he looks mean because he is a Strafford terrier, she got all Hannibal Lecter on my poor dog which scared my baby and ticked me off a little. She was so a scared to come close to him they put this cage on his face because she was afraid that he would do something to her. It was a traumatic experience for me and my puppy.
