I just had a lovely experience at Urban Mattresses in Berkeley, and would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a really well made mattress, a foundation (box spring) or bedding. I had a lot of considerations to sift through before making a decision and Todd went above & beyond to help me with my purchase. Never once did have an inkling that he was trying to sell me, something I can't say about some of the other mattress shops I've visited. Honestly, he could teach classes in how to give outstanding customer service.

No one likes shopping for mattresses, yet it is such an important purchase. Todd made me feel welcome and comfortable in his immaculate and relaxing store. He asked me a few questions and then left me alone while I tried out the different mattresses that he recommended for me and my kids. I spent the better part of the morning there and ended up leaving without making a purchase. There was no hassle or high pressure sales pitch. Went above and beyond getting us our mattress. Was a delivery error on their part and they arranged a Lugg delivery at no charge and the guys were quick and efficient and friendly. Recommend Urban and use the Lugg delivery we didn't pay but would have if I knew how great it would be. Prices for the mattress were good and there was absolutely no pressure in the sales process. to bad the mattress will last so long that we won't be able to use them again for a long time. Great range and selection. Todd is super-knowledgable and exerts expertise and not sales pressure. So much better than the big box I Googled for!
