This is experience was very disappointing and felt like a scam. I booked through Uran Kayaks tours and rentals, I booked for a guided tour through the city on the river. When I arrived it was not a guided tour and it was in the bay and boat parking lot of the Chicago yacht club. There were high speed boats, it felt as though I was in the Marina. Friendly staff, great kayaks and great location; the Chicago River in downtown Chicago. Downside was it was a holiday weekend and everyone and his uncle with a boat was on the same stretch of river including some that didn't abide by the 'no wake' rule which caused havoc among the small kayaks. Adding to that were the people in kayaks with little to no experience constantly running into us, causing more headache. Perfect weather, a personable, knowledgeable guide otherwise.
