Enjoyed Kayaking with my friend on my trip to Chicago. LJ was our guide and he was awesome. He was patient with teaching my friend the ropes and even had our backs when large boats were moving down the river.
I live in the Chicago area and did the Fireworks tour on Wed, 8/13. For me, the trip was too long for a 10 min fireworks show. Additionally group size was too large - guides were constantly corralling the group and you could not hear the guide if you were in the bac although he had a megaphone attached to his kayak. This took away from the quality of the experience, as it appeared that Urban Kayaks is focused on quantity. Really enjoyed the experience and was impressed with how beautiful the Riverwalk was from the water. I would not recommend this particular kayak adventure for beginners.
Great trip at sunset. Our guide Gus was very knowledgeable about architecture and surroundings. The guides did a great job making sure all of the kayakers stayed out of harms way from the bigger boats travelling down the river. Highly recommended!
