Urban Garden is my go-to, local business for all of my annuals, perennials, and houseplants (as if I need more?!). It is a top priority to me to buy flowers that are not laden with harmful chemicals, so that I can do my part to ensure the bugs and surrounding ecosystem stay healthy. I am looking forward to seeing this garden center when it is fully stocked for the year. I went today (early April) and was able to enjoy the wonderfully curated pots and supplies. They tried to sell me a house plant with a Spider mite infestation at full price. When I asked for a discount, they refused and said "we'll just treat it, but you can buy it at full price". NO I AM NOT BUYING A $46 PLANT WITH A SPIDER MITE INFESTATION! And as any real gardener knows, if ONE has it, then a ton of the others have the infestation as well. This seasonal garden shop has the best veggie starts around! Not to mention a bountiful selection of indoor and outdoor plants, vines and trees. What sets them apart is the health of their plants and the welcoming atmosphere created by the gardener employees, who always have good insights and tips about all things green.
