On August 5th 2024 I had a CT Enterography. Arrived at 9 am yhe IV was placed, i drank 2 Bottles of Breeze and test started at 10 am. I had an allergic reaction to the IVP medicine OMNIPAQUE. My nose started itching, I started sneezing, my sinuses were out of control, an awful headache, and I had a rapid heart beat. It was hard to breathe. Went in hopeful and excited for a new doctor and new opportunities to finally be heard... Avoid if you are ASD/ADD, have medical treatment related trauma, or have similar mental health struggles, especially if unofficially diagnosed. You will go unheard, your experiences downplayed/undervalued, and eventually be stonewalled at every pass if you can't afford to seek outside treatment for second opinion/confirmation. Dr. K. Austin on Call Parkway is a wonderful Doctor. She listens to me and is part of the conversation. She discusses things with me and not at me. She gives me time and doesn't rush me out. I always bring in my notes to discuss things with her, and she's fine about that and goes over everything I ask her. I'm glad I found her as a resident, and I followed her here to UR on Call Parkway.
