She listens. Dr. Burke answers all my questions...sometimes I have more than 20; so I would say she is more than patient with me! I have been seeing her for ~1.5 years (most recently dx with GBM). Dr. Burke is way better than my last 2 Neuro-Oncologists at Duke Uni. I was at Duke for 12 years...Dr Burke knows her stuff.

I'm very disappointed with my last two appointments. I was made to feel that it was all in my head. She had an arrogance about her that made you feel unwelcomed. I left there feeling worse than when I got there. I prefer Doctors that make me feel like they have a heart that does more than pump blood. I do not recommend her at all. I will not be returning.
She told me all of my symptoms were in my head and directed me to not take any medications for my Crohn's disease. I did not take her advice... and I'm so glad I didn't listen! I started receiving infusions for my Crohn's disease and within 1 month ALL of my symptoms were GONE! She simply doesn't fully understand neurology. I went to a better Neurolgist in Buffalo who told me he has seen Crohn's patients with joint pain, numbness, tingling and nerve pain.
