I highly recommend Uptown Stitch in Oakland, FL for anyone needing clothing tailored, hemmed, or altered. The ladies were extremely nice, professional, and attentive, and they made sure everything was done right the first time. The turnaround time was excellent—I didn’t have to wait long at all. They also answer the phone and respond quickly to text messages, which made the entire process easy and convenient. Great customer service, quality work, and fast turnaround. Great job, ladies! I’ll definitely be back.

EVERY bride should have Cheri as their seamstress! She is incredibly talented, patient and so kind. She works tremendously hard to make your dream wedding dress come true! My gown was roughly 10” too long, and she was able to alter it perfectly! She completed it within a 2 1/2 month timeframe, and her prices are reasonable. I often call her “Heaven sent” because she really is an angel. Before meeting her, I had another appointment with a tailor, and left feeling very disappointed. I never write reviews but I felt it was necessary for the newcomers for this business. It was my first time going here to get a dress altered. I asked for a simple alteration. A couple of inches off on each side. When I came to pick up the dress and tried it on she said they had taken just over an inch on each side. She said it would look better if she did a couple of darts in back. So I left the dress and cam back a few days later for pick up. We absolutely love Uptown Stitch! My daughter takes weekly sewing classes here and she looks forward to her class every week. They encourage her to challenge herself as she is learning new patterns. They have given my daughter the confidence to try new things at home. I was referred to uptown stitch by another business. It’s a beautiful old building located in Oakland Florida. Not too far from Winter Garden. It’s actually pretty convenient for Windemere Dr. Phillips Clermont and the surrounding area. The owner Sheri was very attentive to what I needed and their pricing is very fair. Lokation also does classes for kids teaching them the art of showing. She has A classroom set up with multiple sewing machines for the groups. I’m excited I found this place.
