Came out to the peninsula for a weekend away from Seattle and had all of our knives sharpened, at a totally reasonable price. He’s super friendly and quick, and it’s such a treat getting to visit his cute shop, and get knives sharpened while you wander around the shops! Sure beats the MONTH LONG wait time in Ballard for a knife sharpening. A+++ experience all around.
My experiences with Uptown Cutlery have been overwhelmingly positive. Sam is incredibly knowledgeable while being patient and willing to take the time to discuss the intricacies of the different knives and makers. Sam took the time to take additional photos of a knife that was online, since I am unfortunately not local to the store, and send them to me directly. I will continue to give Uptown Cutlery my business and recommend them to others in the market for great knives and dealing with awesome people.
ok, this is the knifestore in heaven. If you can imagine that. Try. I bought my man a Hella Nipa because he rhapsodized about his boyhood whittling experiences. Guess what? It was a bridge too far. But what do I want for Christmas? a tiny whittled woman I can use for spells. Get to work, daddy. Meanwhile, this totally cool store is humming along w the most gorgeous things to gift people, and a super groovy vibe of ‘yeah’ and ‘how about…?’ you gotta check it out! Your wings can be left by the door.
Came in to get my culinary knives sharpened and repaired. It was cool to talk to a professional with a lot of experience. Very helpful and does excellent work. Cool shop front as well.
