I inquired through marketplace to Pat at Uptown Auto Sales on a Sunday. As I live in the lower mainland and his business is in Nanaimo, he offered to bring his mechanic in on Sunday and put the vehicle up on the hoist and take several videos so that I could make an informed decision. I spent a full day trying vehicles at a competing lot, and every car I test drove revealed issues, some minor, but a few major issues. The salesperson was "unaware" of any problems. The next day I emailed Pat about one of his cars. He called me within the hour and gave me full details of the vehicle and took the time to answer all my questions. Fastest, no stress, straight forward car buying experience I have had. Pat intentionally purchases good quality cars that he and his team then take good care of both under and over the hood (just drive by the lot -you can see for yourself). He sets fair prices, they have an auto body shop built in, and they have good partnerships with other mechanics to get specialty servicing done. Pat was an amazing help. Typically I wouldn’t say buying a car is a fun time but Patty made the experience a blast! He was willing to answer any questions and was fair with the pricing!! I would recommend uptown auto sales to anyone on the island! It was worth the drive up from Vic.

These guys are hands down life savers. Car broke down on a Friday evening, and urgently needed it fixed the next day. Most shops are closed on a Saturday, the few that were open when I called around couldn’t squeeze me in until Tuesday. I called uptown and they said they could get me in right away. Within an hour of bringing my car back I got a call from them telling me everything that was wrong with it and how much it would cost.
