For years I have had a problematic lower back. I first came to uptown acupuncture because of an injury from two years ago that felt like would never reach 100% again. Even after PT I was unable to trust my knee and would have baseline swelling and pain and no access to end rangers of motion. Referred by a friend, Michael had me when he introduced his practice. "If anything I do that hurts, tell me immediately so I can fix it. I don't want you to hurt." Michael did a thorough assessment, listened, elicited my questions, was kind, respectful, and anticipated my needs. He worked on all 3 areas of discomfort each visit. He paces appointments so he is on time and the experience is relaxing. I napped through most of it once he placed the needles.
Michael Lay is incredible, and I would highly recommend his acupuncture services! My back pain has decreased significantly after not seeing results with other treatment types (PT, massage, etc). The sessions are relaxing, and I’ve seen a lot of progress in a short time!
