Dine at Upstream and enjoy delicious, fresh seafood. The dishes are prepared using international recipes that include preparations of sushi, Alaskan Salmon, Pad Thai and South American sea bass all in one menu. However, the Japanese creations take precedence with nigiri, temaki and other sushi varieties overflowing on the meny. The place may get crowded so be sure to book in advance.

You get what you pay for You get what you pay for...this restaurant is within the complex where I typically stay when traveling to Charlotte. It is pricey but service & food are excellent. And another bonus is if you want to go a date here it is convenient to a movie theater just down the walk.
Fancy My husband and I went to Upstream after being given a gift card there. The food was great. I got a huge, jumbo shrimp and it was fantastic. The food was very expensive though. The wait staff was incredible. That was worth the extra money for sure.
Way Overpriced There is a reason why there is an hour wait at PF Changs and zero wait at Upstream. The food is the same quality but THREE times more expensive at Upstream. Average priced entree was $30 and the food is really no better then your average restaurant. I think all the extra money goes to the 3-4 people who are managing your table instead of to the chief and food. My opinion is that your money would go a lot farther at other Southpark restaurants. I will never go there again (unless they cut their prices in half).... read more
You've got to try this... Great place for a date night! The seafood here could be considered fine dining. I loved the fresh sushi appetizer. The waitress suggested the saki-marinated wild sea bass and I loved it. The fish was full of flavor. The staff provided great dinner service. After sharing a dessert, we walked to the movie theater, which was just 50 strides down from the restaurant.
Its pricey, but a good place to spend time catching up with family or friends..
