I drive a far distance to use Upstate Spay & Neuter because the first experience was so needed due to high volume around my area I had to find somewhere! That experience was beyond incredible. If I can't get an appointment near me I will never hesitate to drive far to upstate spay & neuter because of their kindness, empathy, willingness to educate & clear desire to want to help the animals. Dr. Bridgette is incredible incredible.
The mobile unit should be shut down. Dr Bloom is a nasty person to deal with and gouges prices to make it not affordable for those less fortunate. She adds in charges -for kitties that have just stopped nursing-extra charge. Cat is fat-extra charge. Poop/pee from ride in carrier-extra charge. To knock out a female to find out she’s already spayed -extra charge. Many times used the mobile unit and kitties are extremely ill after getting picked up from mobile unit. Lady on the phone was horrible because I asked when their next availability was and they said they would get back to me, then I get a random phone call telling me the evening of that I have an appointment the next morning, I said “ oh I didn’t know you scheduled that day” she called me rude and said no rescheduling when I simply asked for availability only to make arrangements. She hung up on me and screened my number. This place acts like an underground kidney market
So, I’m rarely someone who leaves negative reviews and usually take my time to write good ones but this one deserves my honest opinion after how I was treated by Bridget. Firstly, I showed up at 7:30am as told and with my two kittens in the same carrier (this was allowed as stated, but had to be in separate carries for pick up. Understood.)
