Rented online for self serve pick up to go through the flight of locks. Still wasn’t sure what we were about, but Donna was super helpful, emailed us about some options, then got us all ready, shoved us off the launch and even contacted the locks to get us underway. The paddling was easy, and going through the locks quite an experience. Remarkable piece of history and engineering! Super helpful and friendly, we came to rent a kayak and she helped us into the water and ran right over to help us get back out when we were done great place with a lot of kayaks available, all in great shape too!
Frustrated to wait 30 minutes (11:30-12:00) for someone to show up to the “full service” Mohawk Harbor location. When we finally called, we were told it was not opened bc there is no staff. But there was no sign on the door nor note on the website, which seem to be basic things a business would do to respect their clients’ time. And when we called, there was no apology or offer to make it right. Just wanted us to go to a different “self serve” location to get our money.
