I’ve been going to Upstate for 15 years and they have the best oysters in the city hands down. It’s not even close. Their large and rotating selection of oysters gives you plenty of options (though I’ve never had one there that I didn’t like). At the same time do not ignore the rest of the menu. There are plenty of “OMG“ inducing gems to be found. I’ve been to plenty of other oyster joints in the city and I always find myself coming back here and always with a sense of excitement.

This place know the true meaning of being “a New Yorker.” The service staff is so kind, accommodating, attentive. The best part is the witty conversation. Their internet wasn’t working on this particular night. I offered my hotspot so we could connect to Spotify. The rest of the night was history. Oh yeah —the food is spectacular. You won’t go wrong with this place where you’ll quickly feel like family!

Had dinner here on a solo date and the service was 10/10! Bartender was extremely nice and attentive I was insanely impressed and it really made my day. I ordered a seafood pasta and some oysters and everything was delicious! I sat next to another solo diner and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat for a Thursday night. I will be returning :)
