Worst company I've ever dealt with. Arbitrary rules that change depending on the circumstances. Rude customer service. Exorbitant rates on power. And worst of all they are a co-op so we have no other choice of power provider except for them. Since they are a total Monopoly they can be as crappy and overcharged as much as they want and nobody can do anything about it. One star is far more credit than the s***** company deserves

More like upyours rural electric... power just went out, no sign of any trucks on highway, when you call in to report, of course you don't get a live person, cause they don't want to physically hear your complaints, they have an automated person's voice answer and tell you that the power is out in your area, well no shit, that's why you call in the first place, not because your bored and decide to call the electric company, they call themselves a Co op, which constantly allows them to hide under the guise that they are he... read more

I hate upshur rural. They are the worst electric company there ever was. They do not care if you are dieing the electric will go off without warning when its a 100 degrees outside no wind and sun just a shining. Forget bout wasting time calling. Nobody will answer. They need to be out of business. Poor people in this world do not have a chance. The rich keep getting richer and poor people wells to go ahead and die and get it over with. I hope upshur reads this.
