Great trip! Staff was excellent, food was great and the equipment was top notch. Could not have picked a better guide service!
I have done four canoe trips with Upper Missouri River Guides now and I will do more in the future! They're a great outfit with the right combination of great quality and down-to-earth. Logistically, the guides were super fun and extremely well-organized, knowledgeable, accommodating, and made healthy and tasty food. But these are just the icing on the cake of this Missouri river trip. As we paddled from Coal Banks to Judith Landing, our respect for the enormity of the Corps of Discovery's accomplishment evolved into amazement. Look no further!!! UMRG is best in class and the type of people you want to hang on the river for 3-5-7 days! Incredibly easy to work with setting up a private group this month. Start to finish Haley was fantastic, dealing with speciald ietary accommodations (celiacs) and handling our group with great care. When you call the shop you get a trusted guide who is kind and knowledgable helping with all details...even if it fell outside of their normal requirements. We had such a fun time on this adventure. The food was great, the guides were awesome. We had nice hikes to places we would not have seen. They were patient with getting us to scale walls. I recommend the four day for being able to see so many things.
