Upper Lake Mary was a fun place to fish, even though it definitely had its challenges. The water was pretty murky when we were there, so it was not the easiest fishing, but we still had a good time. At one point, we had something big on the line and could not get it all the way to shore, which always makes the trip a little more exciting, even if you do not land it. Relaxing place for picnicking or kayaking. Very clean and well maintained.
There’s a traditional concrete boat launch (two actually but one was closed as we went in March), and a sandy kayak launch. Well maintained and clean.
